About Journal of Asian Energy Studies (JAES)

JAES is the official journal of the Asian Energy Studies Centre (AESC) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). JAES publishes high-quality original research and review papers that focus on energy issues in Asia. To provide a truly open and inclusive forum for academics and practitioners, JAES adopts the open access (OA) model and is completely free for both authors and readers.

Call for Papers

We would like to extend a call for papers for the first issue of JAES, to be published in late 2017. We welcome submissions from all fields of inquiry that focus on energy issues in Asia. We also consider studies from outside Asia but that have explicit aims to help understand Asian energy problems. You are cordially invited to submit or recommend papers to the journal for publication. Deadline for submissions is on 30 August 2017. If you have any question please contact Dr. Kevin Lo, Editor at lokevin@hkbu.edu.hk.

Why Publish with JAES?

Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license to allow for the freest and widest dissemination and re-use of open access materials.
  • Easy Submission: JAES has a fully online submission process designed to avoid unnecessary work. There are only a few formatting requirements to follow.
